The horde was founded in 1989 by three juveniles (Gabor Budai, Tibor Rákos, József Takács) under the name RendLNS. Back then it was more about partying and hanging out together. The three-piece band mainly played covers of Hungarian punk bands (Aurora, CpG, Qss). Later they received many invitations to perform, and the formation changed its name to ‘II. Ukrán Front’. They started performing as a trio, and their success was marked by several sold-out concerts in Miskolc. In 1990, bassist Tamas Fodor Fodor joined the trio, which until then had only been performing covers. They began to write their own songs, and in August 1990 they opened for Brain Of Morbius with their new material. After a bunch of successful performances, the band came to the attention of the headliners in the Hungarian HC scene, and as a result they played with Leukemia and AMD. Unfortunately, no studio recordings were made during this period, and only eight low-quality concert recordings and some video footage preserve the band's work.

At the end of 1991, the guys wanted to move up a level. They were thinking in more serious and musically sophisticated ways. Unfortunately, this led to heated discussions among the members, because not everyone had the same approach and style in mind. The result was that guitarist Tibor Rákos left the band. He was replaced by Roland Kiszty on lead guitar (Almighty, Flegeton) and Robert Kis on rhythm guitar (Flegeton, Zord). With this line-up, the quartet has given many successful concerts. The band was renamed from II Ukrainian Front to Subconscious, and they were pushing the thrash HC line. In 1992, with the help of Tankcsapda, they recorded their four-track studio album "Fertőző sejtek" (Infectious Cells) in Debrecen

Later, for reasons that were never explained, the initial momentum was broken and the members began to go their separate ways. Drummer Jozsef Takács joins former guitarist Tibor Rákos in the cult prog-metal group Eclipse. Tamás Fodor and Roland Kiszty continued at Frommer Baby. Gabor Budai became a member of Liquid Limbs. With this, the original ’II. Ukrán Front’ (apparently) ceased to exist...

The band was raised from its dead state by the fact that in 2018 three members (Tibor Rákos, József Takács, Tamás Fodor) felt like playing music together. Although they were living in three different parts of Europe at the time, they decided to get together in Budapest and relive the memories they shared decades ago. This was followed by the second, and the third etc. meeting, which resulted in them being invited to Miskolc for a concert performance, at the urging of their oldschool audience and friends. It was so successful that the members decided to continue. Of course, the long overdue studio recording was also a must. Thus was born the first album of the ’II. Ukrán Front’ after 33 years, titled "33", which features only original songs written in the early 90s. After several successful performances in Hungary and abroad, they recorded their second album entitled "Second" in 2023. On this album, there are only new songs, much more sophisticated than the previous ones. In autumn 2023, drummer Jozsef Takács left the band due to logistical and other problems. This vacuum was filled by the arrival of Cristobal Romero Hernandez (Slytract), and the band also added a new singer, Krisztián "Seza" Pethő (AMD, Hopeium). Due to international political events and the obsolescence of the name, the band changed its name from “II. Ukrán Front” to M.U.F. In spring 2024, the new line-up released a five-track EP entitled "Face to Face". With the current line-up, M.U.F is pushing forward with unprecedented momentum, in uncompromising HC-Crossover style. The brand new “Nincs megváltás” E.P. was released in August 2025.
